Tips for Choosing and Maintaining Office Carpet Tiles

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share with you some tips for purchasing and maintaining office carpets, hoping to be helpful to everyone!
Common materials for office carpets include nylon, polypropylene, and wool. Nylon carpets have strong durability and are suitable for offices with high pedestrian traffic. Polypropylene carpets are affordable and have good anti fouling properties. Woolen carpets appear high-end and elegant, but maintenance is relatively troublesome.

1、 Color and Pattern
The color and pattern of the carpet directly affect the atmosphere of the office. Dark colored carpets are dirt resistant and suitable for high-frequency use areas; Light colored carpets appear to have a larger and brighter space. In terms of patterns, a simple and atmospheric design can be chosen, making it easier to match the overall style of the office.
Size and laying
Choose the appropriate size based on the layout of the office. Both overall and regional laying are acceptable, depending on the needs. If area laying is chosen, different carpets can be used to distinguish different functional areas.
2、 Daily maintenance of carpets
1. Regular cleaning
Clean the carpet with a vacuum cleaner every day to prevent the accumulation of dust and debris. For areas with high pedestrian traffic, it is recommended to clean them once a day, while other areas should be cleaned at least twice a week.
2. Timely handling of stains
The stains on the carpet should be treated as soon as possible. Gently wipe with warm water and neutral cleaner, then use a dry cloth to absorb any moisture. If it is a stubborn stain, a specialized carpet cleaner can be used.
3. Deep cleaning
Deep cleaning should be carried out every six months, and a professional carpet cleaning company can be hired to handle it. They have professional equipment and cleaning agents that can thoroughly clean carpets and extend their lifespan.
4. Anti slip protection
To avoid slipping, anti slip mats can be placed under the carpet. Especially in areas such as entrances and tea rooms that are prone to slipping, attention should be paid to anti slip protection.
3、 Carpet repair and replacement
1. Small area damage:
If there is minor wear or tear on the carpet, you can purchase carpet blocks of the same material for repair. Stick with specialized carpet adhesive to ensure flatness.
2. Large area damage:
Large area damage requires carpet replacement. When replacing, it is possible to consider using spliced carpet blocks, so that even if there is partial damage, they can be replaced separately, saving costs.
4、 Environmental Protection and Health
Choose environmentally friendly materials for carpets to reduce the release of harmful substances. Especially in air-conditioned offices, good air quality is crucial for the health of employees. I hope these tips can help everyone create a beautiful and comfortable office environment. What Are The Steps For Laying Wooden Staircase Carpets?

Carpet paving for wooden stairs

Recently, many customers have asked me about the selection and installation of stair carpets. I would like to organize them for your reference.
【1】 Firstly, self suction step pads are definitely not recommended. Because using only anti slip plastic or built-in double-sided adhesive to fix the step pad cannot guarantee that it will not loosen during long-term use. Once it becomes loose, it’s not a big deal, but a big deal of falling.
【2】 It is not recommended to lay stairs on carpets that are too thick. The reason is that the carpet is thick and not easy to bend, and it will bulge. The staircase carpet emphasizes a tight fit, which can provide anti slip effect.
【3】 Color selection
If there is a large area of hard ground in the house, the soles of the feet will carry floating ash from the hard ground and rub against the carpet. It is recommended to choose gray or dark tones, which are more resistant to dirt.
If your home is covered with a large area of carpet, you can choose a light colored staircase carpet according to your preference, because the carpet absorbs dust and there is no floating dust on the surface.

&&&Paving method
1. Glue. The adhesive fixation effect is still very good, but for wooden stairs and ceramic tile stairs, when replacing carpets in the later stage, the damage to the stair floor is relatively large, and the original adhesive is not easy to remove. So glue is generally used for carpet laying on rough stairs.
2. Air nail gun. This method is only used for wooden stairs. It’s fixing the carpet with nails. Very sturdy and without the smell of glue, but it can cause significant damage to the stairs. So, for stairs with carpets fixed in this way, ordinary wooden boards are usually laid on the stairs in advance, rather than directly laying wooden floors.
3. Metal pressure strip
As shown in the figure. The aesthetic appeal of metal pressure strips is commendable, and the damage to wooden stairs is relatively small. The degree of firmness is also more than sufficient.

Finally, let’s talk about measurement.
Firstly, measure the dimensions of the staircase landing, namely length and width
Then measure the length and width of the stair treads, as well as the height of the facade
The length, width, and height of each step may vary slightly, so choose the maximum size as the standard size.
Finally, the actual area of the entire staircase carpet is the area of the platform plus the total area of the steps. Then calculate the required carpet area based on the width of the carpet itself.
Calculation of total area of steps: length of step surface * (width of step surface+height of facade) * number of steps
